Duncan Herrington
Managing Partner
Duncan Herrington is a Managing Partner at Jasper Street. Duncan’s practice focuses on contested situations, including activist campaigns, hostile M&A, proxy contests and related matters.
Duncan advises clients on assessing their vulnerability to activism, preparing for and responding to activists, and securing the support of proxy advisors and key shareholders in a contested vote. With over twenty years of experience advising clients as both investment banker and lawyer, and on the corporate side as well as occasionally on the investor side, Duncan has unique insights and is regularly invited to speak publicly, write articles or comment to the media on relevant topics in the field.

He also worked on the Contested Situations team at Credit Suisse. Prior to banking, he was a corporate lawyer at Paul Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison.
Duncan received his J.D. from Harvard Law School, M.B.A. from London Business School and undergraduate degree in economics and business administration from Rhodes College. He is also a CFA charterholder and an active member of the California Bar. Based in New York, he lives in Chappaqua with his wife, daughter, son and too many dogs.
